To further our commitment, Saxena White launched a Diversity and Social Responsibility Committee to cultivate policies, practices, and activities that advance the firm’s social responsibility mission. At the foundation of our social responsibility policies and programs are the core beliefs that:

Committee Working Groups
This committee is ever changing and committed to stay current with the social issues important to our community. Operating under our Diversity and Social Responsibility Committee, Saxena White has two working groups: (1) Women’s Initiative Working Group and (2) Environmental Working Group.
Our Women’s Initiative Working Group focuses on getting the firm involved with events and organizations that promote women empowerment in the workplace and greater gender diversity in leadership. Saxena White is involved with several women’s legal organizations and nonprofits to promote such initiatives. On both a local and national level, the Women’s Initiative Working Group members are dedicated to attending networking and educational events that support the women leaders in the legal field, and identifying worthy causes that align with Saxena White’s diversity values for firm-wide participation.
The Environmental Committee works on fulfilling our firm’s social responsibility by making the office as eco-friendly as possible and coordinating firm support and participation in environmental community service events. Currently, this working group is focused on achieving a green office by eliminating wasteful habits to reduce our carbon footprint. Some of recent changes include the elimination of plastic water bottles, plastic silver wear, and paper plates, and instituting green habits such as using a water filtration system, automatic light sensors, recycled paper, default double-sided printing, and recycling programs.
Summer Diversity Internship Program
Saxena White provides law students from diverse backgrounds the opportunity to start their legal careers with our Summer Diversity Internship program. We partner with several organizations to search for the most qualified individuals and strive to enhance their legal education. As a female-minority owned law firm, we understand the importance of having a program that promotes diverse candidates in our field. Now more than ever, there is an importance for companies and their employees to become educated about diversity in the workplace. Through the Diversity and Social Responsibility Committee, Saxena White conducts yearly diversity and bias elimination trainings and educational courses for all of our employees. These trainings and courses ensure that all employees have regularly access to our policies in place to ensure a respectable environment for all.
